Opening in late 2026, the Showgrounds Function Centre is a modern and versatile facility which can cater to corporate and community events alike. With a large open-plan function centre, adjoining pre-entry space, and commercial kitchen, as well as prime viewing over the 25,000m2 grassed area.

    The Fosterville Gold Exhibition Centre is our most versatile venue, combining large open-span spaces with an adjacent multipurpose space and large commercial kitchen.

    Regional Events Complex

    Bendigo’s multi-million dollar Events Complex is the largest clear-span facility of its kind in regional Australia. The Complex is located less that 3kms from the CBD at the Prince of Wales Showgrounds, Holmes Road, Bendigo.
    Catering to large scale shows such as caravan expos, livestock events, and collectible fairs, the open space is a blank page to plan your next large event.

    Venue Overview

    Bendigo’s Prince of Wales Showgrounds which opened in 1968 on an 18 hectare site in Holmes Road is one of Regional Victoria’s largest showgrounds.

    At five acres in size and with a one kilometre fence line perimeter it also proudly boasts the largest showgrounds arena to be found in the state including Melbourne.

    Each year the showgrounds caters to more than half a million people and is one of Bendigo’s most utilised facilities hosting 49 community Sunday markets each year that attract some 10,000 people each week and other major events such as the Australian Sheep and Wool Show, Bendigo National Swap Meet, Caravan and Camping Roadshow and the ground’s premier event the Bendigo Agricultural Show.

    The showgrounds is also home to some 15 local clubs and organisations who meet monthly and the Bendigo Steam and Oil Preservation Group Museum.
